I was a Generac factory trained tech but I’ve let it lapse. Both are good product. I would avoid the California compliant whiz bang variable speed fuel efficient version. That technology is not mature...

Nice. An old design that works fine and doesn’t suffer from Stanley’s annoying blade chatter. One of the beauties of that design is that you can still tighten the mouth by inserting a patch or shimmin...

Finish doing the math. At centre there is 0 movement if it’s fastened.   1/2” from center to each edge. Halfway from center to edge ( 15” ) there’s 1/4”. That’s more easily digested. It’s still more t...

I’m heavily invested in Milwaukee. I have the rear handle saw. With a full 8 Ahr or better a 12, the amount of work it does is amazing. Fresh out of the box, it astounded a cousin that sold firewood f...

Matt’s suggestion of a sawzall is a good one. Those pruning blades do a number on green timber. I’ve not used the carbide version he linked but the plain steel version are not recommended for dry wood...

I’ve got near a hundred instantaneous or near instantaneous one shot kills on deer. Will the new rifle kill them deader?

The other day I saw a really beautiful rifle that shoots 1” groups at 1000 yards. Where I shoot, the farthest target is 200 yards. The rifle I own shoots 1” groups at 200 yards. Do I need a new rifle?

Make your own. Clear vinyl or Tygon tube. The replacement hose ends at most of the local big box stores are solid brass.

I prefer the faucet grease that is beeswax based. Silicone grease can cause some rubber compounds to swell and degrade. Metal to metal I’ll use silicone if it’s handy. There is a silicone based O ring...
