I don't follow type studies, but MF are some of my favorite tools. The planes I like, are those with the articulating lever cap. |

On my list as well. Way back in the 70s and early 80s we used a Stanley box for trim, but none had the trip clamp. I suppose the old guys thought it added time to our tasks? |

Remove the fence and gray Scotch-Brite pad with WD-40. No need to get perfect, but clean it and use the jointer. Keep it well waxed and every so often, work a bit more on the rust. |

Rough composition guidelines:
Brass - 2/3 copper 1/3 zinc
Bronze - 7/8 copper 1/8 tin
These are rough and can very widely! If anyone wants to learn more, spend a week at my plant. |
