Found at a flea. Don't know much about rasps.
Going to use it to shape legs.
Curious about maker.

The mark looks like imprints of a birds foot?
Sorry, I can't help with the maker but it looks to be hand stitched! If sharp you made a nice find!

Tom.
Cuts nice. I thought it looked hand stitched too so I grabbed it.
Possibly Dragon, a Japanese maker? I have a similar one marked Dragon, but I don't believe it has the three stars. It cuts just OK.
Yes, hand-stitched, but probably dull. I'd sent it off to Boggs, and it will probably cut pretty well.
Definitely not sharp, a soak in citric acid will make sharper, but will not replace the steel rubbed off those points. Will never cut as well as a new one, but will cut pretty smooth, so a good last use rasp.

If you knock the handle off, the maker's name may be there.
I have seen that mark or one similar and for the life of me cannot remember what it was on.
No dice finding a maker under handle.
Will try soaking. That's for the advice.
