Has anyone worked out the angles of the base on this beautiful coffee table? It appeared in Fine Woodworking, Readers Gallery, December 2015.

It looks to me like mostly 90 degree angles. It looks like four pieces, each made of four 3-way mitered corners (probably with splines for strength). These are joined in pairs vertically at 90 degrees diagonally across the stock (corner to corner) and a pair of these assemblies is joined horizontally, also diagonally across the stock at 90 degrees. This makes an assembly, four of which must be joined to make the base. These are the non-square angles that I did not evaluate.
