Please show me your better holding solution's.

Get one of these. It is so heavy you hardly need a holder...

+ 1 ........ mine is like that as well, Paul Sellers style made out of 3/4" plywood works great. I put a little dap of clear silicone to hold plate in.

Steel plates from Lee Valley for diamond paste. One plastic tray with silicone pads from Stu at Tools from Japan.

Everything packs into a small bundle. It avoids cross contamination I foresee with a three-stone holder. You only need a few drops of water. Also, steel does not break, or warp, or wear too quickly; and LV's must be stainless.

I came up with this:



Honing plate stuck down with carpet tape after the picture was made....it is upside down.
Will see how it all works out.
