Does anybody else remember him? He and John Fry collaborated on a magnificent project. Anyway, Walnut Guy did a quite a study on walnut finishing, So my questions are:

Anyone know what happened to him?
Anyone save hit posts on the walnut finishing issue?
As of August 2011 he is listed as a member of the Woodworkers Club of Houston and gave a talk about vacuum veneering. The newsletter shows a picture of him and a veneered panel. I guess he still might be a member. Ken
Jack (Walnut Guy) describes his finishing technique here. More generic, but it might help.

Thank you for the link.
I don't remember Walnut Guy but I do fondly remember John and miss his posts and input. Shortly after joining WN I asked for advise/opinion on my idea for a 52" round dinning table. Several here thought I was a little "off" but John chimed in and gave me the courage to do it "my way". It worked, THANK YOU John.
Try him here

More hits under Jack Hutchison woodworker, than Walnut guy. I think that was his forum handle, if he's not currently active in a forum, he may have dropped that part.
We've lost quite a few talented folks here through the years. Some have passed on, others have had feuds and left, others still have just moved on.

Sad in all events.
Thank you all for the help!
