Anyone else get an email from Norm today?
First one for me.

No, but I would be extremely cautious with anything from them.  I used to visit the NYW site weekly and watch all of the classic episodes.  About 6 months or so ago, when the page would be loading my McAfee would snag a Trojan horse download from their site, so I avoid it altogether.
Wow, that is sad to hear.
Thanks for the heads up.

I got one.

I think it is because I had ordered some plans in the long distant past.

Or, because I had watched videos on his site.

I do miss Norm's show.
I got one also. I have purchased plans in the past.

Looks like they are starting to try to market the site a little.

Interesting thoughts from Marc on yesterday's woodtalk podcast yesterday.
What were those thoughts? I'm not familiar with that podcast.

I miss NYW workshop too. No other show has been able to capture whatever it was that made it successful. I don't get Rough Cuts.
Just that NYW could be more relevant if they embraced the digital technology. DVD's are not as common as media these days.
Very true. I actually just disconnected my bluray last week. I literally can't remember the last time I used it.
Not NYW but lately I've been getting emails about downloading plans from some outfit called Perfect Woodworking. The send to address seems to be a WoodNet mailing list; woodnet-gr11. I think it's SPAM, anyone know for sure if it is or isn't?
Pretty sure it is. Remember, if something's free, the product is you.
