Wife found an old shoe shine box. My job, "fix it up"
I now have it totally unglued and taken apart.
Now to fully sand it and clean the glue from the box joints.
This should be "fun"
Careful- if you do too good of a job she will keep bringing you treasures to restore.
on the other hand, if you really do a bad job, she will no longer support your tool and supply habit.
Chose wisely...
Just do a good job, to your standards. Some of my repairs wind up a different color, with different joinery, and no trace of the original materials.
I have begun the regluing. Cleaned the box joints with a small square file. Worked pretty well.
Do you have any working pictures going?

Gorilla glue has a clear non-foaming glue out now.
Used it on a chair re-do, no need to have perfectly clean joints.
Makes it easier.....
