I've been spelunking through the archived issues of the Craftsman Magazine on the The Workshop Pages website.

In looking through the October 1905 I've become enamored with the the idea of building a Tall Wall Clock.

The problem is, a goodly amount on the text is illegible due to low resolution of the scanned images.





Does anyone know if there is a higher resolution version anywhere? I would be willing to pay for it.

The entire publication run of "The Craftsman" is online, thanks to the University of Wisconsin.

It appears that UW is migrating their digital content this year, so searches may lead to dead ends at the moment, but you can still browse by issue. The entire publication is worth a look if you're interested in the period.

The article you're looking for isn't in the October 1905 issue, but the December 1905 issue. Browse for the issue to find the table of contents. Some articles have a higher resolution PDF of the article available. Unfortunately the article you want doesn't, but you can still download the pages. In the navigation sidebar there are options to enlarge the page size. Click the biggest one, then click "Image for Printing" You can right-click and save it as an image file that will be more readable than the PDF in your first post.
