Your issue is going to be the 3/4” thick top. The breadboard edges being thicker does not change the physics much.

But you DO have the option of cutting a 1/2” groove in the thicker end, and making the “tongue” of your 3/4” top an actual rabbet (shoulder on top but not on the bottom) so now your tenon is a full half inch thick which should be more than adequate for lifting.

My table will actually have the grain running across the table (so the leaf will not be cross grain) which means my “breadboards” will be run along the long sides of the table.
