I have a decent No. 3 that I believe to be a type 19. I have cleaned off the more obvious gunk, it is up to the buyer to finish cleaning, sharpening, and to tune it if needed. I don't have such skills and don't want to do it wrong.

I don't see any major issues, some paint flecks and knicks on the handle and knob. Please see the photos and ask any questions or if you need a picture of something not shown.

I'd like $35 plus shipping and paypal fees. I will also take checks and money orders. Pick up available near Martelle, IA. Money back, less shipping, if you are not satisfied.

Nice, and reasonably priced as well. BTW, its not a Type 19; its correct for a Type 16, prewar and a tad more desirable; T19s have a vertical "Stanley" printed on the lateral adjustment lever; this is a horizontal "Stanley" which dates it to T16.
Pm sent. I was on the fence but Admirals comment sealed the deal for me.

You won't be sorry, it will clean up exceptionally well.
Sold pending payment. Thank you all for you interest.
With a $18 router speed controller it's still a good deal.

Type studies are an exercise in minutiae.  Generally, Stanley tended to use up parts so there is some overlap in types from time to time; over the years I've seen all sorts of variations, most occur between T16 and T18.  But this was clearly a T16 due to the lateral lever.
