Spalted Red Oak
It’s about 7” diameter. Smaller than I wanted I had to turn off a lot of checking.
Looks like there is a lot of spalting.
The outside 2" or so of the log was spalted. The inside is still good oak. I'm not sure why the picture is posted sideways, I suppose that's another thing that Woodnet on a mobile device does.
Looks great. I bet te finish will really bring out the grain
