I made this cutting board (last project of the year) for one of my friends who just finished remodeling their kitchen. Board is 22 W 16 D 1 ¼ T. It’s made from walnut with hickory accent strips. It has one coat of mineral oil, and when dry it will get a coat of butcher block finish. Thanks for looking...

Very nice,  I really like the hand holds at the bottom.
Cool Cool  Very good looking cutting board.
Very nicely done.  Too nice to actually use.

Really nice board. The accent strips really set it off . Well Done.
I like it! Yes

Cool
Nice, I made six for Christmas presents, finishing them up before my surgery.
I can't wait to get back at it.
I like the accent strips as well, they help set off the walnut.
I hope I don't sound like an a-hole by saying I don't think it's "too nice to use" because it's elegant and clearly well made from good stock by an experienced person. But I do see some boards that are just silly complex and over-the-top artsy. I would totally understand someone not wanting to use some cutting boards because they're too intricate. But this is perfect because it's obviously nicer than anything at the local grocery store, but not too showy.
Nice wood selection and a very nice gift for your friend. Thanks for sharing.
WOW nice work that is really sharp
