Re: The new Mikiespace - 40X64X16 Pole Barn - BloomingtonMike - 11-04-2014 Yes, enough ply for that too then blown in insulation but nothing bought yet. Re: The new Mikiespace - 40X64X16 Pole Barn - Gregory of Sherwood Forest - 11-05-2014 If you do that attic correctly, you might be able to use the space as a kiln. That'd be cool. My building was built with traditional girts on the outside of the posts. I am adding the bookcased girts to aide in installing batts of insulation 24" on center and to give a surface to securely attach my plywood 1/3 pieces too for walls. Re: The new Mikiespace - 40X64X16 Pole Barn - Mr_Mike - 11-05-2014 Got it. That looks like a lot of work and I hate toe-nailing lumber. BUT its what I want to do and makes those 2X6s VERY secure for the walls. The Kreg Foreman is coming in very handy right now. Re: The new Mikiespace - 40X64X16 Pole Barn - Mr_Mike - 11-05-2014 Hopefully, the poles are dead vertical and you don't have to cut each girt to length. That would suck. Re: The new Mikiespace - 40X64X16 Pole Barn - heavydutytools - 11-05-2014 Nice job, Mike! Plus they are all getting worked anyway so a cut is no big deal. When I put one up the space gets measured to verify. This is a labor of love for me anyway. Building my dream shop the way I want = AWESOME. This part is a LOT more fun than those twist ties on the PEX LOL.
