Yes, enough ply for that too then blown in insulation but nothing bought yet.

If you do that attic correctly, you might be able to use the space as a kiln. That'd be cool.

Well I decided to bookcase the building and I ordered fiberglass kraft faced batts on Friday for the walls. Picked up the 2X6s today - here are the first 189 - full bunk. Menards 11% off week got me off my butt. Bookcasing 24" on center will make attaching the off cut ply sheets I got easier.

Explain bookcasing please.

Bookcase girts or commercial girts as they are also called, are 2X6s installed flat between posts. My building was built with traditional girts on the outside of the posts. I am adding the bookcased girts to aide in installing batts of insulation 24" on center and to give a surface to securely attach my plywood 1/3 pieces too for walls.

Got it. That looks like a lot of work and I hate toe-nailing lumber.

Oh its worse - I am drilling 2.25" holes in each corner (may switch to cutting corners off at an angle) and then pocket holing each 2X6 to the wall girt. BUT its what I want to do and makes those 2X6s VERY secure for the walls. The Kreg Foreman is coming in very handy right now.

Hopefully, the poles are dead vertical and you don't have to cut each girt to length. That would suck.

Nice job, Mike!

They all get cut as 8' on center is not an 8' span between them. I can cut a few at the measurement though. Plus they are all getting worked anyway so a cut is no big deal. When I put one up the space gets measured to verify.

This is a labor of love for me anyway. Building my dream shop the way I want = AWESOME. This part is a LOT more fun than those twist ties on the PEX LOL.
