If you back it into the water, do it float ? It is beautiful.

I'd say she might float till the door openings, the down by the bow.

If a person Googles a 1913 Peugeot wood boat tail, they might see something similar.

What do you call this?

Incredible transformation whatever it is

Great workmanship and quite the attention to detail. First Boatmobile I've seen.

Steve it is a replica of the car from the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The movie car (4 actually) was made by ford motor company just for the movie. They did deviate from the description in the book, but what do you expect it was for a movie.

Made it to the news paper

That of course is what we replicated.
Ours was built on a 1914 Overland chassis. He spent two years redoing the rusted chassis and rebuilding the engine.

Gorgeous Jim!
Seeing it in the sun looks even better than when it was in the shop. If you can get pics of it with the wings on, I'd love to see it. I'd also like a look under the hood.

You do incredible work. I know I've said that to you before.

Greg, I'll have a chance to get photos of the wings at the end of the month. He is having a big party for all his friends (that he bored to death these last couple of years) and all the different people that helped build the different parts.
I never took photos of the engine, never thought it was sepia just a 4 cylinder Model A. Plus his cable management wasn't very good. It actually is a bit cumbersome to open the hood with the belt. If the hood gets opened I'll make a point to get a shot.
