Thank you. Can you give us the approximate size compared to the small plough plane? Again, thanks.

Totally naive question, but...

where does your left hand go when you are using that?

On the raised fence, just like the small plow; works well and I can't see it would be a problem with this tool either.

+ 1 ........ On what Richard said, that is how I use my small plough plane and can't see why the large would be much different.

Very nice! I especially like the thumbscrew depth adjuster for the depth stop.

So no locking collets on the rods? I really like the way they work on the plow, so I'm kind of surprised not to see them here.

There seems to be a micro adjuster for the fence. I dont know if there is a historical precedent for this but it looks like a good idea.

Any thoughts about one for the small plow?

Stanley 45s had this.

I find it difficult to get the fence on my 45 to align parallel to the skates; the fine adjustment can be gently tweaked in the opposite direction to bring the fence parallel. I doubt this will be an issue with the LV design; their engineering is better.

To start with, it will accept Stanley and Record blades. We'll make some additional blades too, but still working through those now...

Cheers,

I missed this tidbit when first reading the thread. Good idea, especially if you make your irons to fit the 45, great marketing, you'll sell plenty of them outside of the plane body.

I just keep coming back to this thread to look at the pictures! Very excited about the potential for this plane.
