RE: Welsh Chair Build Along - Scoony - 09-19-2016 Minus a little smoothing and painting, the chair is finished. This is really comfortable, and the wife approves. My critiques are that the feet seem a little clunky so I may slim them down a little, maybe a 1/8" or so off the bottom dimensions. RE: Welsh Chair Build Along - AgGEM - 09-19-2016 It looks great! Ag RE: Welsh Chair Build Along - kwadams - 09-19-2016 Just noticed you went with the through tenons on the undercarriage...looks nice. Great job, thanks again for sharing. Three more for a set or what?!! RE: Welsh Chair Build Along - tshiker - 09-19-2016 Fantastic! RE: Welsh Chair Build Along - Scoony - 09-21-2016 Big problem in little china The crest developed a split. Guess I left the tenon a bit too big. In the future, I will trim them down a little more. This was not a moisture issue as the wood has been air drying for almost 2 years. Not all is lost. This chair is still a keeper, and I may simply leave it as is, or fill with epoxy before painting. |
