This is what I got from Menards and when I have funds I add to them.  I have the 12", 18", 24", 36", and 48" and they are all heavy duty and has a reach of about 6"

wow.  for that price you can buy parallel jaw clamps (kbody etc)

Now I really use the 6" ones a lot, the 12" and 18" not as much.  But for the price, they work very well.  I don't think one should compare a $3 clamp vs one that costs 2-3 times as much.

Fitting of the joints is key!

I haven't tried them but a pro I know recently got some of the Piher clamps and loves them. They are very high quality. completely different class than the HF clamps.
