RE: Bandsaw blades and Reindeer - Steve N - 12-16-2016 At around 17:00 Alex goes from resaw to small blade guide. He says strictly for 1/4" or less. When I have seen him he has used a 3/16" for reindeer, and bandsaw boxes, and switches to an 1/8" @ 30:15 to make a snake (really tight turns) RE: Bandsaw blades and Reindeer - Arlin Eastman - 12-16-2016 Here you go Dave http://www.grizzly.com/products/80-x-3-16-x-025-x-4-TPI-Skip-Bandsaw-Blade/G4133?utm_campaign=zPage&utm_source=grizzly.com and the rest of the page too http://www.grizzly.com/search?q=(band+AND+saw+AND+blades+AND+80%22)+OR+(band+OR+saw+OR+blades+OR+80%22) The first one will be awesome blade for you also the one below is for very tight curves http://www.grizzly.com/products/80-x-1-8-x-025-x-14-TPI-Raker-Bandsaw-Blade/G4131?utm_campaign=zPage&utm_source=grizzly.com RE: Bandsaw blades and Reindeer - Just_Dave - 12-20-2016 Thanks to everyone that replied. I think Carter will be getting an order soon. I watched the video Steve provided and that gave me an idea. Right or wrong I pushed out the upper guide bearing just a touch to tension the blade and I actually got them cut out much easier. It will be touch and go on getting them done by Christmas but we'll see. |
