RE: Beall Polishing System - Arlin Eastman - 01-20-2018 You can still go to Packard woodworks and get everything there including the 8" extension with the link I gave below is for the 1 1/4 x 8 tpi and if you have the 1x8tpi use the second link http://www.packardwoodworks.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Session_ID=82e9e158775297469ffefb13e7c00142&Screen=PROD&Store_Code=packard&Product_Code=120952&Category_Code 1x8 tpi http://www.packardwoodworks.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=packard&Product_Code=120951&Category_Code= The beall buff system below http://www.packardwoodworks.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=packard&Product_Code=123901&Category_Code=finish-beall-bealbuf The metal insert with the second order is not needed with the order above. That should get everything for you. O and the Renaissance Wax is at the same site also and they have a 65ml and 200ml. I get the 200ml since I use so much of it. 200ml http://www.packardwoodworks.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=packard&Product_Code=121021&Category_Code= 65ml http://www.packardwoodworks.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=packard&Product_Code=121020&Category_Code= As you can see you get more then 3 times as much for a little more. Beall buffing system 1¼ x 8 2. 3" bowl buffs (set of 3) 3. Buffing extender thingy 4. Renaissance Wax Will I need any hardware to attach the buffing wheels to the extender? If you get water on a carnuba wax finish you will get white a spots. For some items you may not have a concern about the item being in proximity of water. For treenware I prefer not to use it. So, do you do a "last step" in the Beall system? In other words, do you put some other wax on your project and just use the fine wheel for polishing it? I suppose it depends on this and depends on that. RE: Beall Polishing System - Dusty Workshop - 01-22-2018 I use beeswax instead of carnuba. Yah I told him for things like art work to do it that way but things to be used I use shellac and then wipe on poly which holds up to washing and everything. I had the same thing happen 4 years ago and did it again just to see if that was the problem for sure. |
