RE: Plywood or MDF - Cooler - 02-08-2018 I used melamine laminate over particle board. Cheap and readily available. You can write on the board and mark start/stop locations and then wipe clean. The material being worked slides easily over the melamine. Cheap enough to replace if I even need to. RE: Plywood or MDF - pebbles - 02-08-2018 Thanks so much for the information. I plan on using high pressure laminate to laminate on the top and ege with hardwood. Probably use ply for the fence. I was planning to use Norm's router table. Shellacked the paper facings to make them slick and durable. RE: Plywood or MDF - SteveS - 02-09-2018 I'd never use MDF. I have 1-1/4" MDO for mine. Much stiffer than MDF, even doubled. |
