RE: PM 3520B Help - jcredding - 07-06-2018 I can’t say which item caused it, but did fix it. I tightened the locking collar, checked alignment of the pulleys, removed the belt and cleaned the grooves, then reset the belt. Not sure which one did it, but I suspect it was dirt or rubber remnants on the groove in the pulley - like yours. One change I did make and that I’ve come to like (though wish I didn’t have to like it) is that I didn’t return the belt to original tightness. Instead, I took just a little tension off the belt and it now it acts like a clutch if there’s a big catch. A turner at the local Woodcraft said he’s had it that way for years and I liked the idea. Unfortunately, I’ve used it once or twice since then as well. |
