RE: What to do with Quarter Sawn Cherry - HomerLee - 12-24-2018 Thanks for all the replies and suggestions! The material is 3/4" thick and has been planned smooth. I will wipe with some paint thinner and see what it looks like. I have considerable quilted maple (also $2.00 bd/ft at estate sale ) and may combine that with the cherry. I made a nightstand with quilted maple drawers left natural color and the carcass/legs are cherry. Anyone know when that was published (or close to when)? I have all copies of FWW except nos. 7 & 8 RE: What to do with Quarter Sawn Cherry - Gary G™ - 12-24-2018 https://www.finewoodworking.com/2006/11/01/the-versatile-huntboard RE: What to do with Quarter Sawn Cherry - HomerLee - 12-24-2018 (12-24-2018, 10:29 AM)Gary G™ Wrote: https://www.finewoodworking.com/2006/11/01/the-versatile-huntboard Thank you Gary! RE: What to do with Quarter Sawn Cherry - Bucko - 12-24-2018 I’d build a quality Noah’s Ark with it, boy oh boy that’ll be the Cat’s Meow. https://www.toymakingplans.com/website/PlanSets/noahs-magnificent-father-son-ark.html RE: What to do with Quarter Sawn Cherry - Martin S. - 12-26-2018 QSC is great for door frames. Less likely to warp. |
