They tended to fail quickly; all of them were out of service within 3 years. All of my Pony pipe clamps are still with me after all these years. The machining is rather poor, but they've been fine as backups to my 3/4" Pony clamps when I don't have enough. I'll keep them and use them and they were cheap enough, and Pony weren't made any more anyway. I see they're back now, which is a good thing. I just hope quality hasn't slipped. ![]() https://www.amazon.com/PONY-50-Clamp-Fixture-Black/dp/B0000224C9/ref=asc_df_B0000224C9/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309763890402&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=788574031398681332&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1022882&hvtargid=pla-525078656041&psc=1 RE: HF Gift Card - BloomingtonMike - 01-15-2019 I like things at HF that cost more than $50. I like and own 4 of their toolboxes, they sell a nice 7X12 Chinese metal horiz bandsaw, their porta-power and hydraulic knockout punch tool is nice, I like their hydraulic crimper, I like their auto darkening welding helmet, and I want their $1000 AC/DC tig welder. A battery impact is even better, but more $$. RE: HF Gift Card - Mike in kc - 01-17-2019 I've had at least a dozen or more of their 3/4" pipe clamps for close to 20 years and they have worked fine, and never any kind of problem. Their F bar clamps are also a real bargain. Rubber gloves are a great deal, also good in the kitchen. Most any of their air powered tools are fine. I typically go to HF just for consumables nowadays - gloves, sand paper, paint and acid brushes, etc. RE: HF Gift Card - R Clark - 01-18-2019 The 20% coupon is not the deal it once was; there's a whole lot of very fine print. The very fine print is mostly a long (and seemingly growing) list of exclusions. |
