RE: 1-1/2 hp on a 1951 Delta Milwaukee? - TDKPE - 09-01-2019 (08-31-2019, 04:04 PM)00lightning Wrote: On the Milwaukee I have 1724 motor, 2 75" on motor sheave and 8 " on top pulley. I calculate 2172 rpm. On X5 I have 3450 moter, 2.18" motor sheave and 9" top shreave. I calculate 3089 fpm That sounds like the same motor Delta used on contractor saws for a while - 2 hp at 240V, but nameplated 1.5 hp for the UL listing on 120V power. It’s a 2 hp all the way, though. If you’re happy with the power from the newer saw and don’t experience belt slippage, use the same sheaves and belts for the 3000 fpm on the Milwaukee saw. But that drive sheave sounds small to me for that much power using a 4L belt. |
