I'll roll it out 90* to the wall, lock the casters and rout away. g RE: Here's the new router table! - shoottmx - 10-30-2019 (10-30-2019, 10:34 AM)Halfathumb Wrote: Great idea but, if this is your shop it's way to neat & clean. I thought I'm a clean freak. But this is taking it to an all new level I swept before taking the pics g RE: Here's the new router table! - John Mihich - 10-30-2019 I like it. Didn't think of that. Of course I won't do it now but it's a good idea for other things. RE: Here's the new router table! - Ray Newman - 10-30-2019 Question: how loud is the noise when operating? RE: Here's the new router table! - daddo - 10-31-2019 Probably one of the best ideas I've seen. It can be moved around easily where you need it. Are you going to fill the drawers with bits and accessories? Three sides of the space where the router is located are lined with 1/4" ply for dust collection. The door is 1/2" ply. the only area of steel cabinet that is exposed to router noise is the back where the DC connection is located. I think with all the ply enclosure that the router noise is muffled somewhat, not increased. Opening the door with it running increases the noise a bunch. g RE: Here's the new router table! - shoottmx - 10-31-2019 (10-31-2019, 08:57 AM)daddo Wrote: Are you going to fill the drawers with bits and accessories? g RE: Here's the new router table! - shoottmx - 10-31-2019 Thanks to everyone for the comments and questions, all are appreciated. g RE: Here's the new router table! - Wild Turkey - 10-31-2019 Do the casters have a lock on them to prevent rolling? I may have a cabinet like that that needs some attention |
