I had a tenant tell me that half the outlets didn't work and some worked on and off when she moved in during the move out inspection. I had her show me, so she walked to each bedroom and then out to the family room. I showed her the switches on the wall, she told me she had no idea why there were switches with no overhead lights in the rooms. She was more than a bit annoyed to learn how things worked. After the move out I put in over head lights and removed the switched outlets
