No, that's not Odate, it's..............his son
.The saws should be hung with the teeth facing in or to the side, to avoid damaging the teeth or cutting the owner.

Yeah, he's definitely younger in that pic. It's from The Workbench Book by Scott Landis. Originally published in 1987, but the pic could be from the 1998 version. The caption to the photo in the book does cite it's Toshio Odate. And it's consistent with the pics from his book on Japanese Tools.
