Same here except with a Byrd head I rarely need to mess with the cutters.

.015, or roughly 1/64"

Running a Byrd head on an 8" jointer set at 1/32". Has worked great for many, many years.

I generally keep it set at 1/32

I normally keep my jointer shallow at about 1/32".  But beingi its a parallel jointer design with a lever changing the depth is at most a 3 second and painless action.
