I have several of these for connecting hoses and dust ports of different sizes. Easy to make just the right size and shape. That’s a good idea that I never would have thought of. Took a pvc adapter designed to go on gutter downspout and add wood blocks in it so it would fit on the planer. Got the pvc adapter at Lowes. The adapter is square on one end and round on the other. Good idea also! RE: Anybody remember those Palmgren Planers? - Randy C - 04-02-2025 GNP - Can I ask where you get your planer blades? My Palmgren planer is the 13” model. Thanks RE: Anybody remember those Palmgren Planers? - GNP - 04-03-2025 I had to get 15in blades from Grizzley and cut them off to fit. It looks like their 15in planer now has different blades. Their 12.5in planer blades may work you will have to measure and see. Thats the problem with these planers no parts. All the blades on the fan appear to be sheared off. I assume that fan helped to propel the chips out of the duct system. It still ejects some chips but a lot of chips are not ejected and seem to be clogging up around a belt inside the machine. I doubt a shop vac would have enough airflow volume to replace an integral fan. Plenty of static pressure but not enough cubic feet/minute. Apparently the DeWalt planer has its fan in a housing. The housing can be disassembled sufficiently to remove the fan wheel then reassemble the fan housing without the blower in it. |
