Re: Ok...sharpening jigs - DaveParkis - 03-24-2015 That is freakin' amazing. ![]() Re: Ok...sharpening jigs - Boatman53 - 03-24-2015 Thanks, Dave. The other jig (for spokeshaves, etc) should in theory will be even more versitle and can handle everything this one doesn't. So far this is the only forum that knows about what I've got going here, so if any one wanted to share this on other forums I would appreciate it. I need to spend more time in the shop, LOL. Jim Re: Ok...sharpening jigs - Gregory of Sherwood Forest - 03-24-2015 Jim, Please tell me you've done something to protect your design. I know that putting it here will establish some kind of timeline on your creation, but I'm not a patent attorney, so I'm not sure what that is worth. Re: Ok...sharpening jigs - Boatman53 - 03-24-2015 I'm working on that Greg. The next one has even more going for it which is why I haven't posted photos yet. It has changed quite I bit from the photo I sent you. Jim Re: Ok...sharpening jigs - cputnam - 03-24-2015 Does that one concern skews? ![]() Re: Ok...sharpening jigs - Boatman53 - 03-24-2015 Which one Curt? The one I posted just now can handle up to 1 1/2" wide, but pretty much square edge. The other one holds the blades differently and can handle any skew angle. Jim Re: Ok...sharpening jigs - cputnam - 03-24-2015 Must be the other one ....... ![]() Re: Ok...sharpening jigs - Window Guy - 03-25-2015 Wow very nice job Jim and looks like it is built like a tank. Have any idea what these may sell for ??? Steve Re: Ok...sharpening jigs - Admiral - 03-25-2015 Ah, the tweaks make it substantively better than the prototype I saw when you came over to the shop; I really like this one.
