I used a point tool and the sorby micro texture tool. The section on the front was done with the head tilted about 45 degrees to the right, speed lowered to about 400rpm. This the same as the back. The bottom center was the same and the next section was moved to 45 degrees left of center. The third section was at 90 degrees (vertical). Really enjoying playing with it. I like to separate the sections with duel cuts from the point tool.

That is a wonderful piece.

Also a great piece of wood. I love cherry and can not get enough of it for the reason you have shown.
