Bandsaw vibration problem *DELETED* - RickJ - 07-31-2015 Post deleted by RickJ Re: Bandsaw vibration problem - JGrout - 07-31-2015 Quote: Willing to bet that is the issue right there I expect you are flutter tensioning as well. Re: Bandsaw vibration problem - RickJ - 07-31-2015 Acctually, just have now resolved it. Laguna called, more tension on drive belt, adjusted motor/drive belt pulley. That 1"resaw blade... excellent Re: Bandsaw vibration problem - TDKPE - 07-31-2015 RickJ said:Loosen the drive belt. Make it floppy loose, so it just turns the wheel (no blade). See if it still vibrates. Take the belt off. See if the motor vibrates. Check the tightness of both sheaves to their shafts. That's weird. Your solution wasn't there when my post went up. And I would still check the sheave to shaft integrity. Re: Bandsaw vibration problem *DELETED* - PaulC - 08-01-2015 Deleting the post when you have solved your own problem is anathema to the sense of sharing and community that makes places like this work. It's also just weird. Re: Bandsaw vibration problem - RickJ - 08-06-2015 Tom, Yep, It was the V drive belt. thanks Re: Bandsaw vibration problem *DELETED* - RickJ - 08-06-2015 yes it is weird... delete is nothing but decoraction. |
