Stanley T11 vs T12 - longbarrel50 - 08-10-2015 Is there any difference in use between these two types? Is one better than the other? I use a variety of planes for small jobs and don't know much about the type differences. I found a #5 T12 at a yard sale this weekend and was just curious. Thanks, Chris Re: Stanley T11 vs T12 - Admiral - 08-10-2015 Short answer, no. Both have essentially the same construction and both work well. Small variations only. Type 12 is the first of the "Sweetheart" logo'ed planes. Re: Stanley T11 vs T12 - Greg Wease - 08-10-2015 The functional difference is the tall knob was introduced on the Type 12. Some, myself included, prefer the shorter knob. Re: Stanley T11 vs T12 - longbarrel50 - 08-11-2015 Thanks guys, I appreciate the information. Chris |
