I want to replace the awning over my deck. it is currently bolted to the house extending out 10 feet to a cross member with a 2 foot overhang. it is 2X6 24"oc. I want to go out to 16ft plus 2 ft overhang. Can I still use 2X6 (Doug fir)24' oc? It is a no snow load and no roofing other than tin sheets.

It looks like your design will support 14pounds/sqft or a point load of 220 on any of the beams.
