Craftsman 6-inch Jointer pulleys - petertay15 - 08-29-2015 I've got the old Craftsman jointer model 113-328000 The manual indicates that the pulley on the spindle is 2-inch, but doesn't state what size the motor pulley is. Does anyone know if should be 2 inches or was it 2.5 inches. Thanks. -- Peter Re: Craftsman 6-inch Jointer pulleys - Mac1 - 08-29-2015 It depends on the RPM of the motor. 1725 RPM will require something about 4 to 5 inches. 3600 RPM can use 2 or 2 1/2. Re: Craftsman 6-inch Jointer pulleys - JGrout - 08-29-2015 I agree with Mac the jointer head should turn ~ 4000 rpm so it is likely 2 1/2" for a 3450 rpm motor 1725 is between 5-5 3/4" Joe Re: Craftsman 6-inch Jointer pulleys - alnandy - 08-29-2015 I agree with Joe about 4000 rpm. It'd give a nicer cut at 5000 rpm, but I wouldn't trust the gibbs on a Craftsman at that speed. I had an old 6" that threw off some knives at 5000 rpm. Scary |
