How many openings do you get for your $20?
Quick glance at the install PDF (which means I didn't read the whole thing) and it looks like you could do the same thing with Masonite or MDF.

There are plenty of ways to make an arch without the kit.
The kit is fast and easy.
$20 a pop seems a bit expensive.
So, what's more important, time or money?
