Cabinet Router bit question - Grey Eagle - 10-30-2015 What type router bit is used for the outside edge of cabinet doors? Thanks in advance, Jerry Re: Cabinet Router bit question - JGrout - 10-30-2015 Re: Cabinet Router bit question - EatenByLimestone - 10-30-2015 Or you can keep it square if you want the shaker look. Re: Cabinet Router bit question - Woodenfish - 10-31-2015 Before you commit to using any door edge profile first verify if it will work with your hinge choice. Some of these profiles will not work with european style cup hinges. You may need to alter one or the other. Re: Cabinet Router bit question - Grey Eagle - 10-31-2015 Thanks for the reply's! Re: Cabinet Router bit question - fishhh4 - 11-02-2015 What kind of doors ? If raised panel . I would suggest you somewhat match the profile of your stile bit. Shaker ... slight 21 degree chamfer..... Ogee...... Ogee or slight round over... Etc.. Etc .. I personally would not use a round over with a shaker door...YMMV Re: Cabinet Router bit question - GNP - 11-02-2015 I would go to the borg, and look at the door profiles they have. I like no. 32 that Joe posted above. |
