Or have I just missed it

Re: Is this new - PaulC - 12-10-2015

The product's been around for a few years; of course, I don't know anyone who's used one...

Re: Is this new - fredhargis - 12-11-2015

It's new to me, though of little interest. I'll bet that has to be registered fairly precisely to get the dowel holes to match.

I would think so too.

As to the question on Amazon anyhow, right below the description it says.

"#1 New Release in Biscuit & Plate Joiners"

Re: Is this new - Steve N - 12-11-2015

At first glance it could be mistaken for the MAFELL duo dowel, but for the Triton there is no video available, for the MAFELL it has quite a few. Looking at the vid you will see absence of the registration pins, and I doubt the Triton has the registration fence.

Now this could do some joinery.

Dictum sells the tool, and template for Just $1,043.59 + S&H from Germany

Re: Is this new - mbw - 12-11-2015

The diagram of the tool on tritons web page shows registration pins. There is so little info. The version shown on Amazon comes with two 8mm bits. It does not say if they are interchangeable with other sizes. One of the Amazon mkt. sellers is selling the uk version for about $125, that comes with 10mm bits. More info would be nice.

Its a cheap knock off.

Re: Is this new - mbw - 12-11-2015

Knock off of what?

Re: Is this new - jussi - 12-11-2015

I thought of the Mafell as well.

Re: Is this new - PaulC - 12-11-2015

Oh, maybe I was thinking of the freud version.
