Couple of Bench Hooks - Wdcrvr - 01-05-2016 First project of 2016 ... made a couple of simple bench hooks. Used 3/4 inch oak. Finished with BLO. Bottoms same as top view ... flip them 180* and get same saw cutting guide. Will add miter saw cut next time I need to hand-cut a miter. Included my favorite old 10 inch Disston backsaw for size perspective. Tom Re: Couple of Bench Hooks - Daniel S - 01-05-2016 Those look nice. How deep are they? Re: Couple of Bench Hooks - Philip1231 - 01-05-2016 Wait: we're supposed to be making stuff with all these tools? Now thats my kinda project: beautiful. Re: Couple of Bench Hooks - cwarner - 01-05-2016 Those look goodx. I just remade one of my sawing bench hooks the other day. Here's what I used for a pattern ... http://www.popularwoodworking.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Bench-Hook.pdf Re: Couple of Bench Hooks - Bibliophile 13 - 01-07-2016 Very nice. That oak will last a good, long time. I don't know what I did before I built my bench hooks. I use them all the time. Re: Couple of Bench Hooks - Peter Tremblay - 01-07-2016 Very nice! I like the oak Re: Couple of Bench Hooks - Daniel S - 01-07-2016 Thanks for posting the link. |
