Flag boxes again - glennw - 01-22-2016 I have to ask a stupid question guys. I can't remember the needed dimensions I have cut a flag box on before. Any help please so I don't waste the walnut Re: Flag boxes again - clockman - 01-22-2016 Here you go http://www.diablowoodworkers.com/pdf/flagcase_construction.pdf Re: Flag boxes again - Sawdustd - 01-23-2016 The critical consideration is the size of the flag and the're many sizes thus when folded will require different dimensions . If at all possible, get your hands on the flag and fold it or ask whom ever you are making this for, the folded dimensions of the flag. Re: Flag boxes again - glennw - 01-23-2016 I have the flags ill be going about 18 inchs by 26 roughly. thanks Re: Flag boxes again - Gary G™ - 01-23-2016 IIRC, the ID for the short side is 15-1/2" and 21-1/2" for the base for an honor flag. Roughly 12-1/2" triangle height. Re: Flag boxes again - glennw - 01-23-2016 I meant to add to my last post its a 3x5 flag. Re: Flag boxes again - Gary G™ - 01-23-2016 The 3 X 5 is smaller than the dimensions I posted, I haven't done that size. Re: Flag boxes again - goaliedad - 01-23-2016 Gary G™ said: There may be s source to find the folded die, but I woukd wait until I had the flags. This size is about half the size of a traditional memorial flag Re: Flag boxes again - glennw - 02-01-2016 Having issues with making the angle cut for the bottom right and left sides. For the bottom board and both sides what should I put the blade on for the cuts. Re: Flag boxes again - glennw - 02-01-2016 what angle do I cut the bottom angles where should I put the blade angle at for the bottom board and the bottom right and left corners. I have the top at 45 degrees |
