Flame boxelder bowl - pat28 - 01-23-2016
Here is my humble attempt to respect this superb piece of wood. The many checks forced me to keep a certain thickness on it. Simple shape on purpose to
let the wood express itself.

I like it. It is a nice stout and useable bowl with great color. I have never had the pleasure to turn it before since there are no trees like that around here, but I hope you post more of them.

Thanks for the comments Arlin. I must have re-edited this post 25 times trying to make the picture appear in the post rather than as a link. Guess the tablet does not help. The interface differs from that of a computer. I'll try again.

Tearout was something on this piece, but it cut like butter. It should adorn my dining room table for a few years, unless someone is ready to pay a most forbidding price for it. I just do not want to let it go. Each angle I look at it has something new to offer.
