Flame boxelder bowl - pat28 - 01-23-2016 Here is my humble attempt to respect this superb piece of wood. The many checks forced me to keep a certain thickness on it. Simple shape on purpose to let the wood express itself. Re: Flame boxelder bowl - Arlin Eastman - 01-23-2016 Pat I like it. It is a nice stout and useable bowl with great color. I have never had the pleasure to turn it before since there are no trees like that around here, but I hope you post more of them. Also if you go to the right side of the page and click on IMG and paste it here when you click on the Image button the picture will post. Arlin Re: Flame boxelder bowl - pat28 - 01-23-2016 Thanks for the comments Arlin. I must have re-edited this post 25 times trying to make the picture appear in the post rather than as a link. Guess the tablet does not help. The interface differs from that of a computer. I'll try again. Here are more pictures of the bowl... It should adorn my dining room table for a few years, unless someone is ready to pay a most forbidding price for it. I just do not want to let it go. Each angle I look at it has something new to offer. Pat Re: Flame boxelder bowl - Foggy - 01-29-2016 I sure would like to see it but can't. Re: Flame boxelder bowl - Dennis Puskar - 01-29-2016 No pics here. Re: Flame boxelder bowl - Herb G - 01-29-2016 Photobucket must have kicked itself. Re: Flame boxelder bowl - chips ahoy - 01-29-2016 Don't see any pics either, but curious as to where you got the boxelder in Canada. Mel |
