Wood Source in Houston, BCS area - RPE1 - 03-04-2016

I'm not familiar with lumber yards in Houston or BCS. We are sorta new to the area. We are closer to BCS. I'm wanting to purchase Paduk, Purple heart, Cherry, Wenge, Yellow heart, etc, for segmented work and cutting boards. What places do you recommend.
Thanks
RP

For that. In houston I recommend Masons Mill and lumber. And then houston hardwoods. Both on nw side of houston

Ditto on Mason's Mill and Houston Hardwoods, and also try Clark's on the north side. Up in Huntsville there's M&G Sawmill; it's worth the drive...

I've never seen exotics at M&G. Most of his lumber is local cut. I do recommend him for oak, walnut and cedar.

Very true, I forgot the OP mentioned he wanted tropical stuff...

As to the local species at M&G, they get mesquite in sometimes too.
