Thanks Dave Re: Pepper Mill kits - Woodshop - 03-16-2016 I got mine from WoodTurningz.com he has a kit with 3 sizes of shafts so you can make any length for $9.50 . he has many others at good prices. Re: Pepper Mill kits - chips ahoy - 03-16-2016 Craft supply, I use the 8", If you plan on making a salt grinder, make sure you get the salt grinding mechanism, you can't use the pepper grinder for salt. They have them in various sizes. I am not saying Craft supply is better, it is just the US supplier I use. Good luck and lets see some pics when you are done. Mel Re: Pepper Mill kits - Captain Pete - 03-16-2016 I get mine directly from the manufacturer, Chef Specialties. http://www.chefspecialties.com Great kits and excellent service. Re: Pepper Mill kits - chips ahoy - 03-16-2016 Captain Pete I do believe that is the supplier for Craft supply. They are top quality mechanisms, I have heard of many mill makers who buy from Chef specialties and have high praise for the product. Arlin Re: Pepper Mill kits - hairy - 03-16-2016 I like these from Craft Supply. They are ceramic, will grind salt, pepper and spices. It reads "Made in USA" and I have been surprised how many folks who have looked at my mills have commented favorably on that. |
