Monocoat Oil - bhh - 04-08-2016
Has anyone used this and have any comments on it? What exactly is the content? It seems shrouded in mystery enough to be a snake-oil product.

Do not know the content, if I remember correctly that components form crosslinks/bonds with wood. Glancing through the MSDS material does not provide any clues to actual ingredients other than it contains natural plant oils and hydrocarbons. The component C does contain some proprietary hardeners.
It was highly recommended by a couple of friends who have significant experience. Personally, on a test piece of walnut, I liked shellac better (did a comparison of garnet shellac, Monocoat and linseed oil).
