Staining and seal coat a deck - Chi Town Tommy - 04-26-2016 I plan on power washing the deck prior to applying a stain and top coat seal. Will it be necessary to allow the wood to dry out for a while before I apply the stain and top seal coat? Thanks, Tommy Re: Staining and seal coat a deck - cndamm - 04-26-2016 If you want a good job then yes. I would let it dry at least 72 hours. I power washed a deck for some impatient folks. They were getting ready to re coat before I was done with a solid color stain. I told them to wait but noooo! I re power washed the deck a week later. Re: Staining and seal coat a deck - Woodenfish - 04-26-2016 Whoa there dude! Deck stain or seal coat? Pick one not both. Re: Staining and seal coat a deck - Chi Town Tommy - 04-27-2016 You say deck stain OR seal coat. Why not both? Thanks, Tommy |
