Do a Google search for Fanno K24. Read the reviews on Amazon. You won't be disappointed.

You mean 24" reach, not 24" blade length, I assume. This is a good saw at a good price. http://www.amazon.com/Fiskars-393440-100...ars+Pruning+Saw You may also get it on a collapsible handle for working up higher. I find the bypass clipper very handy. http://www.amazon.com/Fiskars-Power-Leve...ars+pruning+saw

26" but it has teeth for every part of the job, and is very aggressive when doing the bulk of the work. Bartlett pruning saw 35 bux, and worth every cent

I've had several limb saws and the Samurai Ichiban is the best I've ever used. Fairly inexpensive, too. Samurai

I picked up a Fiskars replacement blade for a pole saw at the Borg and built a handle and an adapter for a heavy duty painters pole for it. Works well in both modes.

Bought a spoon carving video and the guy used a Katanaboy by Silky I was impressed how quickly it cut. Only a 10" capacity so it may not be big enough for your purpose, but for trimming limbs I think it would work well.

I also have an old Disston Pole Saw head I got from my dad. Also works great and will extend your reach as far as the longest pole you can find and be able to handle.

I used it to limb a walnut and worked great. They show up on eBay from time to time and usually sell for not much money, $25 or so.
