I put a little dap of clear silicone to hold plate in. Steve Re: Diamond Stone Holders - hbmcc - 06-25-2016 Steel plates from Lee Valley for diamond paste. One plastic tray with silicone pads from Stu at Tools from Japan. Everything packs into a small bundle. It avoids cross contamination I foresee with a three-stone holder. You only need a few drops of water. Also, steel does not break, or warp, or wear too quickly; and LV's must be stainless. Re: Diamond Stone Holders - AgGEM - 06-26-2016 OP here. Thanks for the replies. I came up with this: Honing plate stuck down with carpet tape after the picture was made....it is upside down. Will see how it all works out. Ag |
