HANDTOOLS: Crispy Pre War Stanley #5 - Admiral - 08-12-2016 Had a bit of time last night and did my usual on a really nice T16 ('33-'41) #5 jack. Pretty crispy; 99% japanning, almost full iron; 100% mechanically, no cracks or pitting on any metal, mouth and sole excellent, as are the cheeks; rosewood tote and knob are solid with no cracks or chips and in great shape. No apologies here, other than some nickle loss on the lever cap. I squared off the iron, did a quick flattening of the back and reset the bevel on the tormek and the plane performs like it should. Pics tell the very nice story..... Nice clean examples like this, all original, aren't all that common in the wild. Yours for $45 plus shipping. First PM with an unequivocal "I'll take it" get priority, and include your shipping address in the PM so I can figure shipping. I don't have paypal, its a new trick and I"m an old dog, so payment by USPS money order please unless I know you from here then checks are ok. Fine user tools priced to sell; tools I would be happy to own, and so will you. thanks for looking.....
