Jeessem router lift -- router is too small? - Wild Turkey - 08-12-2016 Picked up a JessEm original router life in great shape off CL the other day. I counted and found 7 routers hiding in my shop. Two ancient monsters from a cabinet shop auction, three plunge and a 1/4" Bosch and a nice Makita. Only the Bosch fits the lift; the Makita (which is the one I intended to use) is about 1/4" too small. Any way to adapt the Makita? Does anyone make a sleeve, etc? The Bosch is a nice SMALL router -- not what I'd want in a table. RE: Jeessem router lift -- router is too small? - Rick F - 08-13-2016 I have 2 Jessem router lifts. One is the big size, its meant to hold a 3-1/2" Router, which is a PC 7518 .. or the Milwaukee .. The other is I think 2-1/2". or close .. It naturally fits a whole raft of 1-3/4" - 2 HP Fixed base routers.. I'm not aware of an adapter, but you could email Jessem. RE: Jeessem router lift -- router is too small? - Wild Turkey - 08-13-2016 Good News!! Found another router under my workbench. Traded for it sometime ago and it came with wrong base so I set it aside as a "future project" It's a DeWalt 618 and it fits perfectly Sometimes being a packrat pays off! |
